A second murder in less than 24 hours in the Taima area of Kuwait
Less than 24 hours after the killing of a Kuwaiti young man with a bullet from a security man's pistol in the Taima area in the Jahra governorate, another heinous crime took place, in which a woman was killed by her brother.
In the details, security sources said, according to the Kuwaiti Al-Qabas newspaper, that the dead woman had informed the Interior Ministry that she had been detained for two months in her home, which prompted the perpetrator to slit her throat with a knife before the arrival of help.
The sources added that the perpetrator, who was born in 1985, tried to stab the Jahra policemen with the same crime instrument, trying to escape.
But they managed to control it without causing any injuries.
The killing of the woman by her brother sparked angry reactions on social media, which made the hashtag #Tima_crime topped Twitter in Kuwait during the past hours.
The incident, the second in less than 24 hours, came after a young man was shot dead by a security man at dawn yesterday, Wednesday, in the Taima area of Jahra.
In the details reported by a security source, according to Al-Qabas newspaper, the young man was killed by a gunshot wound to the chest, when the dead man tried to seize the weapon of a security man from the salaries of the Jahra Security Directorate.
The security man fired warning shots in the air, but the victim did not comply with the orders, so a bullet hit him in the chest, and he was transferred to Jahra Hospital for treatment, but he breathed his last in the hospital, from the severe injury he sustained.
The security source said that the Ministry of Interior opened an extensive investigation into the case to reveal all its circumstances, noting that “the General Department of Criminal Investigation is investigating to seize the dead man’s facilities and interrogate him, after listening to the story of the security man, who admitted that while he was on a patrol belonging to Jahra security, he was accompanied by another security man.” They were suspicious of a vehicle with two people inside, as he asked them to stop, but they fled into the Taima area, then got out of their vehicle to enter a closed road, then returned to confront him and his colleague, so he shot in the air to catch them, but one of them managed to escape.
The source added that the security man also stated in his statements that the other person clashed with him trying to seize his weapon, so a bullet was fired and lodged in his chest, killing him inside the hospital.
For its part, Al-Rai newspaper quoted the security source as saying that the incident occurred after the patrol observed the recklessness of one of the vehicles and stopped it by the patrol. led to his death.
The source indicated that the reckless vehicle hit the patrol when trying to stop it, before its passengers fled, indicating that two soldiers later fled, but one of them stumbled during that.
According to the version of the security source, the two young men who were in the vehicle clashed with the soldier, who continued to pursue alone, so he fired in the air, followed by firing a bullet in the chest of one of the accused, while the second fled.
The source said that after searching the vehicle, a number of narcotics were found distributed in bags, in addition to a small scale and drug paraphernalia.
