Anastasia Savitskaya, 29, flew for several years in a row with her friends to rest in Bali.

And when flights were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Nastya, according to her father, decided to stay on the island, refusing to fly to Russia on an export flight.

In Bali, she rented a house and worked as a beautician.

At the end of March 2021, the girl suddenly stopped communicating with her family.

“She didn’t get in touch for three weeks.

I called my acquaintances - their son works in Jakarta.

He dropped my local chat, I wrote there.

And one user answered me that Nastya was detained.

After that, I turned to our embassy, where the information was confirmed to me, "says the girl's father Mikhail to RT.

Offered to plant drugs

According to her father, Nastya was detained on March 22, 2021.

According to Nastya herself, drugs were planted on her.

In a letter she wrote to her parents from prison, the girl said that she was detained for the first time on January 9.

“Two Russian men without uniforms came to the search and detention together with the police.

Artyom Kovtukhov and Ilgam.

They introduced themselves as Interpol employees, conducted a search, and then showed me a bag that I did not have.

Artyom said that he believed that the drugs were not mine, and offered to go not to the police, but to a rehabilitation center.

There they asked me questions about Danil Alagartsev's case.

As I understand it, they were looking for a guy who has a lot of bitcoins.

The next day they let me go home.

Later I was told that they were not letting anyone go just like that, and now I have to provide them with information about people who use or sell drugs in Bali.

I replied that I do not know such people, ”writes Nastya.

According to the girl, she was threatened with jail if she did not find such people, and also offered to plant drugs on people.

“In March, they again got in touch with the demand that I set up my acquaintances Daria and Stas.

They warned me that if I refuse, they will force me.

I didn’t do this, and on March 22nd I was again planted with 0.62 grams of drugs.

My drug test is negative, and I am hanged article 112 "distribution".

On the day of my arrest, at 9 a.m., two drug addict groups were added to my Telegram.

And a message came from an unfamiliar to me Ivan with coordinates and a photo where drugs are supposed to be.

Two hours after the message, the police arrived at 11.

They use this message as evidence, although I have not written anything to these groups and to this person, ”says Nastya.

No violations of rights were recorded

The Russian Embassy in Indonesia told RT that they are monitoring the situation with the Russian woman and the observance of her rights.

“Since the arrest of Anastasia Savitskaya, the consular department has been closely monitoring the progress of the investigation.

For their part, they sent a petition to the prosecutor's office to release Anastasia on recognizance not to leave, which was rejected (drug offenses are classified as the most serious crimes in Indonesia).

During the investigative actions, violations of the rights of the Russian woman were not recorded, the investigation was carried out in accordance with local legislative norms, "Nikita Ivanov, head of the consular department of the Russian Embassy in Indonesia, told RT.

In June, Mikhail Savitsky sent to the embassy photographs of young people whom his daughter spoke about, with a detailed description of their deeds from the words of his daughter.

The diplomats passed this information to the police.

On July 6, 2021, the Bali police detained three Russians - Artyom Kotukhov, Ilgam Muzafin and Sergei Cherednichenko, who could have been involved in extorting money from the Russian-speaking residents of the island.

Earlier, RT talked about a criminal group of immigrants from Russia and the countries of the former CIS, which had been trading in Bali for several years with racketeering and blackmail.

Now Nastya, according to relatives, is in the quarantine block of the prison, where she was placed due to covid restrictions.

“The last time Nastya and I spoke on the phone was over a month ago.

They give her a phone literally for a minute, but she did not express any complaints, ”says the father.

On August 12, the first court session in the Savitskaya case took place.

It was also attended by employees of the Russian consulate in Bali.

“An employee of the office of the Honorary Consul of Russia in Bali watched the meeting. The court heard the circumstances of the case and the conclusions of the investigation. At the moment, the Indonesian side is bringing charges - either drug possession (Article 112, from 4 to 12 years in prison), or their sale (Article 114, from 5 to 20 years in prison). Usually 3-4 court sessions take place before the verdict. There were no violations of the rights of a Russian citizen at the first court session. We continue to monitor the situation, ”the embassy said in a commentary.
