In the United States, a woman saved her son from a bare-fisted fight with a cougar who had bitten her 5-year-old son.

According to foreign media such as CBS in the United States on the 28th of last month in local time, a 5-year-old child living in Calabasas, Los Angeles County, was attacked by a cougar while playing next to a tree in the yard of his house on the 26th.

Weighing 30 kg, the cougar bit the child and dragged it about 40 meters.

A mother inside the house heard her son's screams and ran out and beat the cougar with her fists.

Unable to withstand the mother's indiscriminate attack, the cougar eventually left the child and fled into the grass.

The son, who was bitten by a cougar, was taken to the hospital with injuries to the head and upper body.

An official from the California Fish and Wildlife Service, who was called to the scene after receiving the report, found a cougar crouching in the bush and shot it.

DNA analysis confirmed that the killed puma was the one that attacked the child. This cougar was a young cougar less than a year old.

Experts said, "The puma seems to have attacked the child since it was learning to hunt." "If you come across a cougar, you must not turn around and run away. You need to make it look bigger and secure a distance for the puma to move." .

"It is the first time in 25 years that a puma has attacked a person in Los Angeles," said a spokesperson for the Protection Agency.

This is a 'news pick'.
