Five people entered the site of the company Norminox, specializing in metal recovery, in Epône (Yvelines).

During the night from Sunday to Monday, the thugs climbed the fence before entering the premises.

They thus got their hands on 300 aluminum radiators, reports Le Parisien.

The Mantes-la-Jolie anti-crime squad, which had placed some suspected burglars under surveillance, arrested two of the suspects, aged 17 and 33.

But the rest of the gang flew away with the important booty, in a van.

Repeated flights

According to the Ile-de-France daily, the Norminox company is the regular target of metal theft.

In 2016, his boss told the court that the intrusions were incessant and that the theft of a ton of metal cost him around 2,300 euros.

Seven people aged 23 to 54 were sentenced that year to terms ranging from six to eleven months in prison for stealing copper, metals, and cast iron radiators.
