The gas price increases by 8.7% from this Wednesday, September 1 in France.

The rise in the price of natural gas is observed in all European and Asian countries.

At issue: the economic recovery, which is boosting demand and therefore pushing up world prices.

In Europe, in recent months, storage levels are at very low levels and it is now that gas operators are buying gas in quantity on the markets.

This is to avoid the risk of shortages in winter.

And

when demand exceeds supply

, this

ultimately

has an impact

on the consumer price.

This trend is likely to last until the end of the year according to analysts, and this does not only concern gas: an increase in gasoline and electricity as well.

All energy prices are soaring in France, which weighs considerably on household budgets.

A sensitive subject to which the government should remain attentive in this social re-entry: three years ago, new taxes on the price of gasoline had triggered

the ire of "

yellow vests

"

.
