Riedl lives in Umeå and was on his way by car to Stockholm when he drove 113 km / h on a 100 road.

This is the second time in a relatively short time that Edward Riedl has broken a speed limit.

In the autumn of 2020, he lost his driving license after driving 37 kilometers too fast on a 110 road.

He lost his driver's license for two months and was fined SEK 4,000.

Edward Riedl commutes weekly between Umeå and Stockholm and just like last time, the speeding took place on the way down to the parliamentary work in the capital.

As a Member of the Riksdag, Riedl has previously worked for a longer period in the Transport Committee, before receiving his current assignment in the Finance Committee.

Has over the years submitted several proposals concerning speeding and speeds on the roads.

Do not want to comment on the incident

Edward Riedl does not want to comment on the speeding but refers to a Facebook post where he writes like this:

“Tonight I drive down from Norrland to Stockholm and continue parliamentary work.

On a 100 km / h road I was clocked at 113 km / h.

Of course, I acknowledged on the spot and it was done wrong by me "

The fine for a speeding violation of 13 km / h is SEK 2,400.
