China News Agency, Paris, September 1 (Reporter Li Yang) The giant panda twins born in the Beauval Wildlife Park in Saint-Aignan, central France, ushered in a "full moon" on September 1, local time.

The zoo said on the same day that the two panda twin cubs are in good health.

  The Chinese giant panda Huanhuan gave birth to twins on August 2. The first cub of the twins was born at 1:3 am and weighs 149 grams; the second cub was born at 1:10 am , Weighs 129 grams.

  The Beauvale Zoo revealed on the 1st that the weight of the two panda cubs has increased from 149 grams and 129 grams to 1,140 grams and 1090 grams, respectively.

After a month of development, their bodies have undergone obvious changes. They have the characteristics of giant pandas, and their body color has gradually become black and white; but their eyes have not opened yet.

  The health condition of the giant panda "Huan Huan" is also good.

According to the zoo, the main daily activity of "Huanhuan" and the twin cubs is to sleep.

Professional nursing staff still guard "Huanhuan" and the twin cubs 24 hours a day.

The two giant panda twin cubs were temporarily named "Cotton" and "Xiaoxue" by the zoo, and they will be officially named 100 days after their birth.

  In March of this year, "Huanhuan" and the male giant panda "Yuanzi" tried to mate. The zoo also conducted artificial insemination of "Huanhuan".

The zoo confirmed in July that Huanhuan was pregnant and found two embryos in his womb.

  "Huanhuan" and "Yuanzi" came to Beauvale Wildlife Park from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in 2012 to start a 10-year Sino-French giant panda breeding cooperation plan.

"Huanhuan" gave birth to a cub in August 2017 to "realize a dream".
