He noted that now the payment system using face recognition through cameras at turnstiles operates at three stations. 

According to him, the authorities thought that there would be few applicants, but 15 thousand people signed up in a few weeks.

"From September 15, we will double the number of stations, and from October 15 we will do it at all stations of the Moscow metro, so take pictures, come through, we love you, we will recognize you," TASS quotes Sobyanin.

The head of the city also explained how the system works: you need to find a special application on your phone and send your photo.

When passing the metro, a video camera captures the face and funds are debited from the person.

Earlier it became known that from September 1, transfer on land public transport in the capital will be free within 90 minutes from the start of the trip.
