As things stand at present, the Frankfurt Book Fair can receive 25,000 participants a day in October.
"We have a special permit to hold the Frankfurt Book Fair," announced the book fair on Wednesday.
The maximum permitted number of visitors applies “taking into account the existing hygiene concept” and “according to the current state of planning”.
According to the current status, the 3G regulation applies: Entry is only for vaccinated and convalescent people, all others need a current negative test.
Tickets must be booked online to ensure contact tracking.
The hygiene concept coordinated with the health department and trade fair also included "one hundred percent fresh air supply in the interior, spacious design of halls and entrances, intensive cleaning measures, a hygiene-adapted catering concept as well as wearing mouth and nose protection".
According to the organizers, publishers, companies and agencies from more than 60 countries have registered for the 73rd Frankfurt Book Fair from October 20 to 24, 2021.
The fair is planned “as a face-to-face event with digital and hybrid programs”.
