Recently, an American veteran who served twice in Afghanistan died of illness in Texas. His mother said that his illness could have been cured, but the hospital had no available ICU (Intensive Care Unit) beds. The condition was delayed.

The veteran, named Daniel Wilkinson, is 46 years old. On the second day of his illness, his family took him to the emergency department of the nearest Belleville Hospital.

It was subsequently diagnosed as pancreatitis caused by gallstones.

Unfortunately, due to the increase in the number of critically ill patients with new coronary pneumonia in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) beds throughout the southern United States, this veteran could not get a bed.
