The Government and the Generalitat are resuming contacts these days to meet the dialogue table after the
Diada
, in the week of September 13 to 17. From the Government it is pointed out that the meeting will take place at the end of the week -the 16 or 17-, but in La Moncloa they still do not set a date because, government sources point out, the content to be discussed has not yet been closed, either the date or the attendees, thus leaving the presence of Pedro Sánchez in the air. "We will see," they say about the presence of the Prime Minister.
While these negotiations are underway, the Government tries to put Catalonia in the background. The priority is the "social agenda" and socioeconomic recovery. Yes, there is a commitment to bring the dialogue table together and that will give prominence to the secessionists, but it seeks to dilute the focus with social issues.

that the Council of Ministers approved this Mars. The Executive wants to promote in the next four months a total of 144 standards, 50 of them respond to commitments with Europe to receive European funds. Issues such as the Vocational Training law, the development of the educational law, the labor reform, 5G, the housing law ... But no reform of the Penal Code to modulate the crimes of sedition and rebellion, which was a compromise of the Executive as a nod to the secessionists.
"The priority is social and economic recovery, recovering normal life, that no one is left behind. That economic growth translates into well-being," explained Félix Bolaños, Minister of the Presidency to justify that this nod to independence disappears from his priorities. "The priority is European funds, recovery, the social agenda. We understand that the priority is this." And will there be a reform of the Penal Code in 2022? "We will see," said Bolaños, without committing himself.
The Government at the dialogue table with the Generalitat is willing to talk about everything, but it does not like that the independentists press dates for a self-determination referendum.
This week, the Catalan president, Pere Aragonès, spoke of 2030. "That is not the way, it is not the way of dialogue, of reunion", has settled Isabel Rodríguez, spokesman for the Executive and Minister of Territorial Policy.
His bet is a socioeconomic agenda and it ugly to the Government that insists on unilateralism.
"The disposition is to sit at a table that is one of dialogue and recovery to solve the social and economic problems demanded by Catalan society. The way is not to set horizons for independence," Rodríguez insisted.
