This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

"The ban is being introduced on imported integrated circuits, smart cards, laptops, tablets, computers, servers and lighting products," the statement said.

At the same time, the ministry is clarifying the characteristics and description of some items.

So, for example, in the message of the department it is said that “portable computers weighing not more than 10 kg, such as laptops, tablet computers, pocket computers, including those combining the functions of a mobile telephone, electronic notebooks and similar computer equipment, fell under the corresponding ban” ...

At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that with respect to other electronics and electronic medical equipment, state customers are required to apply the “second extra” rule, which implies that when purchasing products between the imported and domestic options, priority is given to the Russian product.

This rule includes, in particular, security and fire alarms, monitors, navigation and measuring equipment, tomographs, X-ray machines, and so on.

In July, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, announced the projected volume of import substitution in Russia in 2021.
