August 31, 2021 Eight people have been identified and reported so far by the Digos of Genoa for threats via social media to the infectious disease specialist Matteo Bassetti.

In recent months, the professor has presented, through his lawyer Rachele De Stefanis, about twenty complaints for the continuous attacks.

For the professor, dynamic surveillance had already been arranged since last December.

"The situation is now becoming unsustainable, and we will do everything necessary to protect ourselves - explains the lawyer - it is necessary for the judiciary to intervene, my client no longer feels safe".

The first complaints were triggered in April when Digos investigators had identified two 50-year-olds, one resident in Trieste and one in Cosenza. After the first episodes, in December, dynamic surveillance was arranged for the university teacher with police passages under the house and at the San Martino.
