A fire broke out in a cold store in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime), Saturday in the middle of the afternoon.

Firefighters were alerted after the discovery of a plume of smoke emanating from an industrial zone where several companies fall within the same sector of activity, reports Paris Normandie.

A total of 22 firefighters attended the scene and defeated the flames with a fire hose and the intervention of five devices on the spot.

No technical unemployment

The affected company should temporarily stop its activity, even if no foodstuff was destroyed in the disaster.

Placement of employees on technical unemployment is not on the agenda either.

According to our colleagues, the fire would have started in the electrical cabinet of a technical room.

Another fire occurred this Monday in Le Havre, on the tenth floor of a building in the Graville district, reports for its part France Bleu.

Five vehicles carrying twenty firefighters were sent to help a family of six present in the accommodation.

A woman was injured during the emergency evacuation.
