The Government's investigator Magnus Persson states that in the short term there is room at Arlanda for Bromma's air traffic.

In the longer term, the pandemic's effects on the airlines will release capacity, but rebuilding of Arlanda will be required.

In general, he stated that it is a complex situation which, in addition to domestic flights, includes helicopter traffic, ambulance flights, the city's airspace, accessibility, noise and the environment.

But despite this, the investigator believes that Bromma can be closed down by 2025.

It is far too soon, thinks Stockholm City Councilor for Finance Anna König Jerlmyr (M), who believes that it is an irrevocable decision that can be very expensive.

Magnus Persson also says that the airport is located on Stockholm's land and that it is therefore the city's decision what is to be built there, if the airport were to be closed down.

The Social Democrats in the city do not think they should vote anymore.

- The investigator states that Stockholm now needs to decide what to do with the land. I agree with that and suggest that the City Council of Finance convenes all parties in the city of Stockholm to a meeting to urgently formulate how the city should act when Bromma Airport is closed, says Karin Wanngård (S).
