"Mohammed bin Rashid Housing" denies that the police summoned a female citizen because of her demand for housing

The Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment denied that the police summoned a female citizen while she was at the foundation's headquarters, because she was demanding her right to obtain a residence.

And the Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Sami Gargash, stated yesterday, in an intervention with the live broadcast program broadcast on the “Noor Dubai” channel, that the citizen had reviewed the institution three days ago, and demanded that it be handed over a housing, and that she would not leave the building unless she had the key to the dwelling in her hand. The new, indicating that she refused to obtain an apartment from the Community Development Authority, after the Foundation communicated with the Authority to facilitate the acquisition of the apartment for citizenship.

He considered that her urgency in the request and her insistence not to leave the building was a form of blackmail, as well as that she dealt inappropriately with the employees who were keen to deal with her well, and to clarify matters to her in a friendly manner, and to tell her that her request would be entered into the relevant committees. I recorded a video of him inside the institution and posted it on social media.

Gargash added that the police were informed to come to the institution’s headquarters and deal with the situation, but the citizen refused all attempts to persuade her, and began filming videos of the scene until the duty officer at the police station was contacted, who attended and persuaded her to leave until the dismissal and a decision on her request, and after leaving the institution building, the police station was contacted. Posting videos on social media.

He stressed the Foundation's keenness to support all humanitarian cases that come to it and take the necessary measures in a speedy manner through the committees that were provided for these cases, adding that "the woman's husband is an inmate of one of the penal institutions and she has children, and she currently lives in a small and unsafe place, and therefore the Foundation has contacted with The Community Development Authority in Dubai to provide an apartment for it temporarily, after transferring it to the authority.”

He explained that the requests for housing need time to study and make sure that they are eligible for any service that is provided to them, and therefore the citizenship had to understand these procedures explained to them by the Foundation's employees.

He stated that the Foundation has allocated four committees headed by members of the Foundation's Board of Directors to deal quickly with these cases and provide them with housing, and that among them is an Executive Committee that has the ability to take any action that benefits the situation of difficult cases immediately and urgently.
