Sune Bergman became "King Sune" with the people of Jönköping after HV71's surprising Swedish Championship gold in 1995. He did 31 straight years as head coach in various clubs.

David Petrasek was one of the players in the Smålanders' gold squad.

- Sune will always have a place in everyone's HV hearts here in Jönköping.

The gold -95 will forever be associated with King Sune and Johan Lindbom's decision on overtime in the fifth decision, Petrasek tells Aftonbladet.

"Died way too early!"

He was later a stay in Leksand and also coached Tre Kronor during the World Cup in Norway in 1999, when Sweden took bronze.

In the last two years, however, his health has deteriorated, says his son Nicklas Dyrén, and Bergman's last coaching assignment was in Vita Hästen, which he saved in the hockey allsvenskan.

- He died far too soon, he was only 68 years old, but the nice thing was that he got to work with hockey almost all the way into the tile, Nicklas Dyrén says to Expressen.
