US air carriers banned from flying over Afghanistan

"Civil air carriers can continue to use the route for jet aircraft along the eastern border for overflights," TASS reports.

As noted, any civil air carrier that travels to or from Afghanistan, as well as travels through the airspace of the country, must first obtain a management permit.

Earlier, the US Federal Aviation Administration said the United States no longer controls the Kabul airport.
