The miracle of this campaign continues.

Olaf Scholz was also in the lead again in the quick poll on the “Triell” of the three candidates for chancellor.

Nothing is more successful than success, even if you still don't really know what it is based on.

In this round, too, Scholz did not promise the Germans free beer for life.

He appeared almost exactly as the one the SPD did not want as party chairman because he is not left enough for them.

The Germans who discovered their late love for him, however, he seems to remind of Helmut Schmidt and Angela Merkel, as whose legitimate heir to the throne he presents himself, right down to the diamond.

Obviously, much more is not necessary to have a chance of becoming Federal Chancellor.

Well, maybe it's lucky after all that very few people understand what cum-ex deals are.

On the lead strap of the left SPD wing

Many in this country consider the Chancellor to be a kind of substitute emperor. Otherwise the fixation on the three candidates and their charisma can hardly be understood. But Scholz would be a king without a country on the lead of a party leadership occupied by the left wing. How did he intend to assert himself in a red-red-green coalition, from which he is already not allowed to distance himself categorically, without his own power? In a traffic light coalition, he (and the FDP) did not fare much better.

What fate Scholz threatened in the event of his entry into the Chancellery was hardly discussed when a mixed jury awarded grades. Armin Laschet didn't do as well as he deserved. With laschet bashing you are on the safe side of opinion leaders these weeks. At least he got applause from within his own ranks. Even those in the CDU who are calling for a more aggressive election campaign seem to have noticed in the meantime that nobody is preventing them from leading it more aggressively. Anyone who hesitates is dead. This is also the name of the “crime scene” that ran at the same time as the Trielli. It attracted significantly more viewers than the candidate show. Should you blame them?
