Scania stops its production for a week, reports Swedish Radio.

The reason is the lack of semiconductor components, something that affects the entire automotive industry.

Scania will stop production in Sweden all this week, which affects up to 9,000 employees.

- They get a week off now.

Everyone has been absolutely fantastic in stepping in when we need to compensate, so it can possibly be a little grateful.

But I think everyone feels that it would be nicer to just work on so that we come back to a more normal and a less strained situation, but we are not there yet, says Scania's press manager Karin Hallstan to Ekot.
