With the help of money from the General Heritage Fund, the Swedish Sports Confederation, Arvika municipality and a bunch of sponsors, the investment in the paved track, the first in Värmland, at the Forshälla sports ground in Jössefors became a reality.

Total cost: Approximately SEK 4.5 million.

When SVT Nyheter Värmland comes to visit, the final adjustments are underway ahead of the official inauguration this weekend.

World Cup qualifiers await

And already on the weekend of 18-19 September, the track will be visited by some of Sweden's foremost cyclists in pump track when a competition in the WC qualifiers is decided.

The competition is the only one in Scandinavia and Jössefors IK thus joins big cities such as Berlin and Brussels as organizers.

In the video, project manager Elin Balkåsen tells more about the pump track and track construction as well as the upcoming World Cup qualifier.
