• Caserta, 18 years old, dies stabbed during a quarrel

30 August 2021 An autopsy on the body of Gennaro Leone, the 18-year-old killed on the night between Saturday and Sunday by a stab from a 19-year-old young man during a fight that broke out in Piazza Correra in Caserta, the heart of the nightlife, should be held on Wednesday, September 1.

After the autopsy examination, which will be held at the Caserta institute of forensic medicine, the funeral will be fixed.

The attacker is in prison on charges of voluntary murder with the aggravating circumstance of futile reasons, and in the next few hours the Gip of the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere will have to decide whether to confirm the arrest and keep him in the cell.



The carabinieri of the Compagnia di Caserta managed to identify and arrest the 19-year-old thanks above all to the testimonies of the victim's friends and other young people present, while only a few elements emerged through the few video surveillance cameras in the area. From the investigations it emerged that the two did not know each other, so there was nothing prior; it all happened probably for one glance or one word too many.
