The authority stressed that students and employees who tested positive for the virus are isolated for 10 days, and contacts are required to adhere to a seven-day quarantine, offer distance learning options, follow up on students who showed symptoms until their return, and monitor absenteeism and its unjustified causes for students and employees.

Dubai Health stressed that face masks are mandatory for anyone entering the buildings of educational institutions, and medical masks or cloth masks can be used, and all students and staff must be trained in the proper use of face masks, with students and staff repeatedly reminded not to touch the masks, and not to share them with others. .

It is also not recommended to use face masks with exhalation valves, because they do not prevent the person who wears them from transmitting “Covid-19” to others, and teachers who are in direct contact with students of determination or teachers of young children (under six years) are encouraged to wear a face mask. The authority authorized the removal of face masks in educational institutions in five cases: when eating or while engaging in high-intensity physical activities, while maintaining social distancing, and people with a medical certificate exempting them from wearing face masks, and in emergency situations such as difficulty breathing, or Loss of consciousness or panic attacks, and in the case of people of determination who cannot remove the masks without assistance, and students under the age of six years, they can abandon the face mask.

Regarding dealing with suspected or confirmed cases of "Covid-19", "Dubai Health" clarified that the suspected case can have symptoms that were discovered in several scenarios, namely: the home or before entering the means of transportation provided by the educational institution or the means of transportation. Private, at the entrance to the educational institution (while still accompanied by the parent or guardian), at the entrance to the educational facility (in the absence of a parent or guardian), during school hours at the facility, or after school activities.

She stressed that students and employees who show symptoms must stay at home, seek medical advice and treatment when necessary with a licensed doctor, and this employee or student cannot return to the classroom, unless he is without symptoms, and has a negative “PCR” test valid for 48 hours. .
