It is the W'IN brand, of another Bordeaux businessman, Clarence Grosdidier, which is moving into this building this coming back to school.

W'IN will thus have a second coworking address in the center of Bordeaux, after the alleys of Tourny.

A building that stands out in the traditional 18th century architecture in Bordeaux

Settling in this building, often criticized by the people of Bordeaux, because of a so-called “organic” architecture all in curves signed Edmond Lay, is “a strong choice” explains Clarence Grosdidier to

.

“We have chosen to be positioned in the heart of the city and in buildings with remarkable architecture,” continues the businessman. The site of the Mériadeck Savings Bank is very particular, very strong architecturally, it is either disparaged or praised, but personally I like it very much. I am a fan of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright who inspired Edmond Lay, I like this visionary, modernist side, even if it clashes with the traditional 18th century architecture in Bordeaux. It is a building that has been very well thought out in terms of light and the organization of space, and more than forty years after its construction, it has not aged a bit. "

The fourth floor occupied by W'IN is the former refectory of the Savings Bank.

“Initially we had to take the third floor as well, but the Covid-19 crisis has passed through there… We are, however, keeping an option on this third floor depending on the evolution.

For the moment we are not bad since we are already at 40% occupancy.

"The Covid-19 crisis is accelerating ways of working"

W'IN welcomes all types of companies, start-ups, an EDF subsidiary, an educational association or even a real estate agency. "But we are not in an incubator-type support scheme", clarifies Clarence Grosdidier. “We also have meeting rooms, and a 600 m2 terrace which is a very big asset, particularly with a view to organizing events, since we plan to host, for example, company clubs, meetings. of start-ups… ”, adds the manager of the site François Lachat.

"The Covid-19 crisis is accelerating the way people work, and we are witnessing an explosion in coworking," continues François Lachat.

Young structures no longer have any problem finding a home in a coworking space, and even companies that have been established for a longer time are starting to turn to us because they are looking to lighten their office space, even if we haven't yet company that sets out to do 100% coworking.
