Two weeks after his inaugural recital against Real Sociedad, Catalan rookie Memphis Depay continues to seduce Camp Nou with the winning goal (2-1) for FC Barcelona against Getafe on Sunday for the third day of La Liga.

The Catalans opened the scoring in the second minute with an express goal from Sergi Roberto after a cross from Jordi Alba, then Getafe equalized with a nice combination concluded by Sandro (19th).

And the former Lyon striker Depay sealed the victory with a nice goal in the 30th minute.

In the first three matches in the Blaugrana colors, the Dutch international has already scored two goals and provided an assist.

He is Barça's most effective rookie since Cesc Fabregas in 2011 (three goals and four assists in his first three La Liga games).

Depay even narrowly missed the double, but his recovery as a pigeon wing from a center of Sergino Dest did not catch the frame at the very end of the match (85th).

Ronald Koeman's men mastered the first period, then eased off after the break ... and even almost got caught by a former house player, Carles Aleña (56th), then by Nemanja Maksimovic (60th), who had the balloons to tie.

A new satisfaction for the Catalan fans, who were around 20,000 at Camp Nou on Sunday to witness their team's second victory a week after the 2-2 draw conceded in Bilbao: with this success, Barça temporarily returns to the height of Real Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia and Mallorca lead La Liga with 7 points.

Only Atlético Madrid, the reigning Spanish champion, will have the opportunity to overtake all this peloton in the event of victory on Sunday evening (10 p.m.) during the shock of this 3rd day against the Villarreal of Unai Emery, reigning winner of the Europa League.
