The capital's operational headquarters for control and monitoring of the situation with coronavirus reported that 451 people were hospitalized in Moscow per day.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the upcoming academic year is planned for full-time in the capital, and noted that the majority of Moscow teachers have been vaccinated against coronavirus.

“We will try to ensure that the academic year passes as normal, taking into account the fact that more than 80% of our teachers and teachers have received the vaccine,” TASS quotes him.

At the same time, Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov said that the operational headquarters had approved the algorithm for the arrival of foreign students in Russia.

“Yesterday the operational headquarters under the leadership of Tatyana Alekseevna Golikova approved the algorithm for the arrival of foreign students in the Russian Federation ... Recall that mass vaccination against coronavirus began in Russia on January 18.

Citizens of the country can be vaccinated with one of the four registered vaccines in the country: "Sputnik V" and "Sputnik Light" Center.

Gamalei, "EpiVacCorona" developed by the Novosibirsk center "Vector" and "KoviVak" center named after

Chumakov RAS.

Golikova also said that the increase in mortality in Russia in July is associated with a significant increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection.

“According to official data from Rosstat, mortality in July 2021 compared to the same period last year increased by 18.6%.

This is due to a significant increase in the incidence of new coronavirus infection in Russia compared to last year, which began in June of this year and continues, according to the results of the last week, in ten regions of the Russian Federation, ”she said.

She noted that "the entire increase in mortality is attributable to mortality from COVID-19."

As the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov previously reported, the situation with the coronavirus in the city makes it possible to transfer city hospitals to normal operation.

According to him, in a week the number of new cases of the disease decreased by 22%.

"Therefore, we can return some of the city hospitals involved in the treatment of patients with COVID-19 to the planned mode of operation," Beglov added.

Meanwhile, another coronavirus vaccine, EpiVacCorona-N, was registered in Russia the other day.

Tatyana Nepomnyashchikh, Deputy Director General of the FBSI SSC VB Vector of Rospotrebnadzor, in an interview with RT, told how it differs from EpiVacCorona.

“For the layman - for the person who will go to be vaccinated - there are no differences.

The vaccine is about the same.

That is, it is the same carrier protein, the same excipients and the same three peptides.

The only thing, in the "EpiVacCorona" vaccine, all three peptides were synthesized separately.

And if we look at the vaccine, it looks like an ear of corn: it is a carrier protein covered with three colors of kernels.

These are our three peptides.

In "EpiVacCoron-N" these grains, two of them, are combined into one.

That is, the same ear, some grains as they were, and the other two are larger and of two parts, ”Nepomnyashchikh said.

The creation of such a vaccine is necessary, among other things, for the convenience of increasing production volumes, she added. The demand for the vaccine is very high, and in this format it will be "much easier and easier to scale."
