Four days after its cruel elimination in the Champions League play-offs against Shakhtar Donetsk, Monaco rebounded well by winning its first victory of the season in Ligue 1 in Troyes (2-1), Sunday during the 4th day.

ASM, with a solid performance and more pronounced efficiency than in Ukraine, can thank its young attacking midfielder Sofiane Diop, author of a decisive double (40th, 58th).

Ruben Aguilar, by equalizing against his camp, had relaunched the Estac in the meantime (51st).

Like Paris SG on the first day, the Monegasques were shaken by the Trojans at the end of the match but provided the essentials while maintaining their slim advantage.

Niko Kovac's players were certainly not as brilliant as Wednesday, but they were however reassured by winning this first success in the league which allows them to leave the relegation zone.

The promoted Aubois, on the other hand, had a difficult month of August with only one point in four games and a place of red lantern.

From the outset, Monaco confiscated the ball and pressed the Trojans, considerably hampering their recovery.

The Azuréens got the first opportunity: on a corner from Jean Lucas, Aurélien Tchouameni deflected the ball with his head at the near post and Gelson, alone three meters from the goal, sent his recovery over (13th).

Tchouameni, called up for the French team for the first time on Thursday, then almost opened the scoring with a superb coiled shot which hit the left corner of the uprights guarded by Gauthier Gallon (18th).

Logically, the ASM took the lead on the scoreboard shortly before half-time: Tchouameni, in all the right moves, delivered a superb opening for Wissam Ben Yedder, whose offering was converted by Diop, alone facing the empty goal (0-1, 40th).

As soon as they returned from the locker room, the Monegasques were successful when Giulian Biancone's shot was repelled by the post of Alexander Nübel (49th).

But in the process, the unfortunate Aguilar, who had diverted a center back in his goal, precipitating the elimination against Shakhtar, again scored against his camp: on a free kick from Dylan Chambost, his header resumed again lobed his goalkeeper (1-1, 52nd).

After a new attempt by Yoann Touzghar (56th), Monaco finally reacted and did not give the opportunity to regain the advantage: after stealing the ball from Kouamé, Youssouf Fofana infiltrated full axis and served Diop , who offered himself a double on the flat foot (1-2, 58th).

A few seconds later, after a disagreement in the Trojan defense, Gallon maintained the suspense by winning his duel against Ben Yedder before pushing back with the tips of the gloves a strike from Diop, very close to a hat-trick (59th).

Despite their mastery, the players of the Rock were scared at the end of the match, as on this lob from Baldé on the transverse (70th), on an insufficiently supported strike from the Bissao-Guinean international (73rd) or on shots from Touzghar (85th) and Renaud Ripart (88th).

But they held on to finally launch their Ligue 1 season.
