“Jean-Luc has never done youthism.

He employs young people because he believes that they are capable of holding positions of responsibility, ”says Antoine Léaument, the candidate's digital communications manager.

The summer days of La France insoumise end this Sunday, August 29 with the eagerly awaited speech by Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

And the LFI candidate should once again devote part of his speech to youth.

However, this is a particularity of LFI: young people occupy an important place both in the militant base and in the heart of the party.

This is the attraction of the rebellious village: we jostle around the Fiscal Kombat arcade machine featuring Jean-Luc Mélenchon confronting and lecturing the big bosses.

The candidate has widely promoted it, seeing it as a way to talk about politics differently.

A pride and a proof of confidence for "Daschtroumph", pseudonym of the young activist who developed the game: "

We do not box us in a young box saying, well you are good to put on fluorescent T-shirts saying

" long live my president "

 and that's it.

No, we are taken as people with skills ”.

Young guard

Since 2017, a whole new guard has emerged around Jean-Luc Mélenchon, incisive and connected. Like Antoine Léaument, head of digital communication for the rebellious candidate:

Jean-Luc has never played youth. He puts young people in because he believes that they are capable of taking up positions of responsibility

”.

And this to the heart of the machine: the presidential program of which Clémence Guetté, barely 30, is the coordinator: “

He announced that it was his last presidential election.

He had special attention because, in fact, once perhaps he stops there being a generation that continues to carry the torch ”.

In the meantime, Jean-Luc Mélenchon intends to rely on his young asset in 2022, a presidential election for which 5 million French people will be old enough to vote for the first time.
