The German Nils Politt (Bora-Hansgrohe) won the Tour of Germany on Sunday, at the end of the fourth and final 154.4 km stage between Erlangen and Nüremberg, won in a sprint by the Norwegian Alexander Kristoff (UAE- Emirates), his second hit of the week.

Attacked throughout this nervous stage on the roads of Bavaria, with six climbs on the program, Politt, winner in Nîmes on the last Tour de France, resisted his competitors to keep four seconds ahead of his compatriot and teammate Pascal Ackermann and the winner of the day, Kristoff.

"It was really a complicated race today, the other teams did not make it easy for us," Politt conceded at the microphone of the ARD channel after the stage.

Second Saturday, the Belgian from Bahrain-Victorious Dylan Teuns, chosen combative of the day, still animated the race.

Starting about fifty kilometers from the finish with the American Matteo Jorgenson (Movistar), Teuns got rid of his breakaway companion but was caught within five kilometers of the goal.

The peloton then contained the final offensives and the experienced Norwegian Kristoff dominated Ackermann, who still took the points classification thanks to his consistency in the sprints, while the Italian Luca Mozzato (B&B Hotels) completed the podium of the day.
