29 August 2021 The second weekend of counter-exodus is coming to an end, characterized by sustained but generally smooth traffic and without particular criticalities on the 32 thousand kilometers of road and motorway network managed by Anas (FS Italiane Group).

Maximum attention is paid to the Italian motorway network for returns from holidays. The most consistent traffic flows affected, as expected, the Adriatic, Tyrrhenian and Ionian ridges towards the north and towards urban centers. This is what a note from Anas communicates.

On the

A2

"Autostrada del Mediterraneo" traffic heading north has intensified since late morning today especially in the Lucanian and Campania section, with slowdowns and queues between the Lauria Sud and Polla junctions and between Eboli and Baronissi, also due to two accidents.

Intense but flowing traffic in

Calabria

on state road 18 "Tirrena Inferiore" and in

Puglia

on state road 613 "Brindisi-Lecce", 101 "Salentina di Gallipoli" and 16 "Adriatica".

In

Lombardy

some slowdowns have affected the SS336 "Malpensa Airport" near the terminal.

In

Abruzzo

slowdowns in the afternoon on the SS16 "Adriatica" between Ortona and Pescara due to the traffic that was diverted from the A14 motorway following an accident. Traffic remained substantially regular on the other counter-exodus routes. The transit ban for heavy vehicles remained in effect until 22:00.

The next counter-exodus day is scheduled for Sunday 5 September.
