During a wedding in Colombia, police came and arrested the 'new groom'.

According to CNN and other foreign media reports, on the 18th local time, a 24-year-old man, Luis Daniel Santana Hernandez, was arrested for various crimes while having a wedding ceremony at a church in Uramita, Antioquia, Colombia.

Hernandez is known as one of the high-ranking executives of Colombia's largest drug cartel, 'clan del golfo', who has been nicknamed 'Machete'.

A video released by the Colombian Ministry of Justice on the 19th captures the moment of Hernandez's arrest.

Just before Hernandez exchanged vows with the bride, police officers raided the scene and arrested her groom.

The wedding hall quickly became a chaos, and there was also a woman who attended the ceremony protesting violently to the police who appeared as if she did not understand the English language.

Klandelgolfo is Colombia's largest drug trafficking organization with about 3,000 members, and local authorities have considered them a 'new military organization'.

According to the Colombian Drug Enforcement Agency's 2020 National Drug Threat Assessment Report, these organizations are committing transnational criminal acts, such as smuggling tons of cocaine to neighboring countries via sea transport.

Hernandez has been wanted by the local police since 2017 on charges of drug trafficking, firearms, and assassination, but it is known that she has escaped pursuit and hid in mountainous areas several times.

This is a 'news pick'.
