The Ministry of Health reduces the prices of 4 types of medicines
The Ministry of Health and Community Protection issued a decision to reduce the selling prices of four types of medicines, which treat various diseases, by rates up to 70%.
According to Ministerial Resolution No. 100 of 2021, issued by the Minister of Health and Community Protection, it was decided to reduce the prices of four types of medicines, by a rate ranging between 50 and 70%, as of the fourth of next September.
Three of the four medicines that have been reduced in price treat asthma in different doses, and are used in adults and children from the age of two years and over, while the fourth medicine prevents the formation of blood clots, and also reduces the risk of myocardial infarction or stroke in patients who have been exposed to it before. .
This decision comes within the framework of a series of initiatives by the Ministry to reduce drug prices, which the Ministry of Health and Community Protection began implementing in 2011, in cooperation with major pharmaceutical companies.
The list of reduced medications includes MoNal Tl 4mg, MoNal TL 4mg, MoNal TL 10mg and Plopido 57mg.
