During the meeting, His Highness exchanged with the Emir of the sisterly State of Qatar talks about the conference and its expected results in a way that serves the lasting security and stability of brotherly Iraq, wishing the work of the conference success, and the Iraqi people progress and prosperity.

Al-Kadhimi added during the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership: “The holding of the Baghdad Conference embodies Iraq’s vision of the necessity of cooperation, and that terrorism will not find a foothold in Iraq,” stressing that “there is no return to the past, undemocratic paths, or absurd wars, and that what unites our peoples is more than what divides them.” He pointed out in the same context the importance of supporting all parties and neighbors in the file of the reconstruction of Iraq.
