How do you win the team with the most Champions League?

Obviously, in football whoever scores the most goals wins. But Olympique de Lyon is a team that has a very good curriculum, where there are very good world players, and we can only beat them with our work and enthusiasm, because we are very excited in that match. And never lowering the arms. If this team is characterized by something, that is why. The only way to compete at the level of Lyon - which I do not doubt that we are at a lower level, because they have always been noticed, although we are here for the same thing: to make ourselves noticed - is by working, trusting that they can arrive and in which it will arrive. It is what we are doing. And nobody wins us illusion.

What have they set up in there so that Levante is at this level?

Well, a family, basically. We are not a group, we are a team that works together in the same direction and that is very clear that nobody gives anything away and that what is achieved is based on work and accepting values, which are what we have. And without those values you can't go anywhere.

How did you get to where you are today?

I am 25 years old [he turns them this Friday] and I started with six, playing in the Federative Schools, a team from my neighborhood, in Albacete. From there, the following year I did the tests for Albacete, where I was until three years ago defending the colors. I have gone through all the lower categories of the selection until reaching the absolute. I have been sub-19 runner-up twice, I have also been runner-up in Spain with the Castilla-La Mancha sub-18 regional team. And then I have many regional trophies and also some other nationally. Three years ago I joined Levante looking for new projects and learning, and to this day I don't regret anything I have done.

What do you think that the men's Levante is seen as a modest team, while you are considered 'tops'?

The boys are not just a team, as they say, 'nice'. They are much more than that and they will prove it. The players are very top and we have a very good relationship with them. As for the girls, we do not classify ourselves as better than anyone. Each one is as it is in its category. But we have shown in previous years that we are there to stay and that it will be very difficult to win in any competition because we are working on a very solid foundation that will be difficult to overcome. If Levante is there and has earned that respect, it is through years of sacrifice and not taking a step back, always looking forward.

What would you say to someone who, in 2021, says that 'women's football is neither football nor women's'?

Let him stand in front of the television and not just watch a game. You will already realize that women's football moves masses and how people are getting more hooked. Because in both women's and men's football there are the same values. And I think there are only a few who see what you say. There is no football that is better or worse. It's the same, the only thing is that one has some qualities and the other, others. I'm sure that if someone watches a women's soccer game, they will repeat it. But sure!

Is it possible that, unlike the male, he is not yet so contaminated with money?

It is true that sport moves a lot of money, in the specific case of men's football. But it is also true that football is passion. Whoever wants to live it that way, like an industrialization, let him live it. But for those of us in there, football is pure passion.

Why that passion?

The same sport unites a country. And the great example is in the Olympic Games, in the World Cups and in any international competition.

How are you in the senior team?

I feel good, I am learning from the best. And I see the team very prepared to achieve great things.

What is the goal?

The goal for me is joy. Because it is a celebration. It is also a liberation. I have come to cry and also laugh when scoring. It makes you feel a lot of emotions.

In the event that, by means of a strange spell, you had to choose between stopping scoring goals and something else, what would make you give up the former?

It is that the feeling of the goal is so wonderful that I would only be willing to stop scoring goals to save someone, in the case of this crazy hypothesis. But generally speaking, he would give up a goal if the team wins. If I take that step and do not put it, then yes it would deprive me of the goal.

Has soccer saved your life?

Yes but no. It has given me to choose my path. As a child I wanted to be a footballer. And to this day I am. It is true that I also study, but football is giving me life.

What values has this sport transmitted to you?

I have learned the union of a human group, camaraderie, respect, knowing how to see when you are wrong and a person is there to tell you, to rectify ...

Is Alba complete without a soccer ball?

I am Alba when I play and when I don't. But Alba likes to show herself on the field. And when he is away he is a calm person, a friend of his friends, very attached to his family and, in general, very close.

And after three years in Valencia, do you still feel from La Mancha?

One hundred percent from La Mancha, I already tell you. I like food so much; cheese, of course. But what I miss the most about Albacete are my mother and father's meals. I will always say that. I miss my land a lot, but I still have the accent, I am still very La Mancha, because that is not forgotten.

How has Covid lived?

It was not easy. Everything caught me out of the blue, in Valencia, away from my family. A soccer player who trains every day has to take great care of her diet because, after all, you don't move the same way when you don't leave home. And, emotionally, the thing was going at times. Especially when my father was brought in at the height of the pandemic, which was a tough time. But hey, I went through a lot of things, from which I learned a lot. And here I am today, with my head held high and being aware of what we just happened, because many people are not.

Have you got something clean?

The pandemic has made me grow a lot. And hopefully, really, that no one goes through all this again, that we all move this forward together. Because locking us up again would be crazy.

What do you think you can contribute in a situation like this that we are still experiencing?

My job is sports.

And my contribution is to always comply with sanitary measures.

And for the viewer, I suppose that the fact of playing matches will entertain you and will mean more positivity, more enthusiasm.
