Rickard Livén (M) is currently chairman of the culture and leisure committee in Salem, but just before the holidays he was asked to take over the post as chairman of the municipal board.

- When I received the request, I felt: oh well, there may be more who think you do a good job.

I am humble, happy and surprised, says Livén.

Stubborn and determined

When asked what makes him a suitable chairman of KS, Rickard Livén answers that he is good at building teams and getting people with him.

- I want a good atmosphere where we push towards the same goal - but that does not mean that I am not stubborn, determined and goal-oriented.

Will run the center project

The big questions for Salem in the coming years are already set out, says Rickard Livén.

This includes the work with the center core, which he is now commissioned to pursue.

But the municipality also faces challenges that are also part of the legacy.

- We have a tricky political landscape in Sweden that makes it more difficult for people to navigate, but in Salem we have a good alliance cooperation for many years that works well.
