In Russia, the fifth vaccine against coronavirus infection, "EpiVacCorona-N", developed by the FBSI SSC VB "Vector" of Rospotrebnadzor, has been registered.

This is stated in the state register of medicines of the Ministry of Health.

As follows from the instructions for use of the vaccine, the drug stimulates the production of an immune response against COVID-19 after two intramuscular administration with an interval of 21 days.

At the same time, the level of formation of a protective antibody titer and the duration of the action of immunity are currently unknown: "Clinical studies on the study of protective efficacy have not been carried out."

At the same time, the viability of the SARS-CoV-2 mutation does not mean that being in a river or sea can lead to infection - there is no evidence of this, reports the Izvestia newspaper.
