The head of the Supreme Council for National Reconciliation of Afghanistan condemns the bombings in Kabul

“The sad news of the terrorist attack at the entrance gates of the Kabul airport ... caused our deep regret,” he wrote on his Facebook account.

He also expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the explosions.

“We condemn this terrorist act in the strongest possible terms,” he concluded, noting that more attention should be paid to ensuring security.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg condemned the bombings at the airport in Kabul, calling them a terrorist attack.
