Probable revenge motive behind the murder of a Bandidos member in Linköping

The police are now working intensively to investigate the murder, but also to prevent the violence from escalating further in the city's criminal gang environment.

However, she does not want to say anything about what motive the police believe may be behind yesterday's fatal shooting.

Third murder in a short time

The murdered 30-year-old is the third since May 19 to be shot to death in full daylight in a public place in Linköping.

- We have a good view of those who move in these environments and have worked towards them.

But something like this happens in an instant.

We can not keep track of everyone all the time, says Sofia Hedberg.

Over the years, the serious violent crimes committed in the districts of Berga, Ryd and Skäggetorp have mainly been about having control over the criminal activities in the areas, such as drug sales, extortion and protection activities.

There are currently no signs that the murder of the 30-year-old was about anything else.

- This is something I can not comment on, says Sofia Hedberg.

Bandidos MC wants control of Linköping

The criminal network Bandidos MC has through its subgroup X-Team for several years had a strong position in Skäggetorp and Ryd.

In Berga, there is currently a family-based network that is dominant.

But it is obvious that the red-yellow Bandidos sphere over time wanted to take control of the whole of Linköping.

Several people with connections to Bandidos appear in the police investigations of a number of violent incidents, including the explosion on Ådalagatan 2019 and the murder of a local leader for the competing No Surrender MC the same year.
