The term of office of the Liberal Democratic Party president of Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga will expire on September 30. The Liberal Democratic Party of Japan formally decided on the 26th that the voting and counting of the Liberal Democratic Party president’s general election will be held on September 29, and applications for candidates will be accepted on the 17th.

Fumio Kishida, the former chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party’s Government Affairs Investigation Committee, has now decided on a policy to run for the president of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan and confront Yoshihide Suga again.

Fumio Kishida participated in the election of the Democratic Party president for the first time in September 2020, but lost to Yoshihide Suga in the number of votes, and ranked second.
