In the aftermath of this attack, France announced the repatriation to Paris of its ambassador to Afghanistan, David Martinon, for security reasons, while he was so far at Kabul airport to supervise the evacuations.

After the explosions, President Emmanuel Macron traveling to Dublin reacted after his meeting with the Irish Prime Minister by announcing that the French teams on the spot continue to evacuate hundreds of people trapped near the airport of the Afghan capital.

This represents several hundred people in danger.

I cannot guarantee you yet that we will be able to carry out these evacuations because the security situation is not under our control.

strongly condemn

 ” these deadly attacks, their spokesperson indicated, while stressing that they had taken place in an area under the responsibility of the American army.
