The military evacuations carried out by France from Kabul airport in Afghanistan will be interrupted Friday evening, announced Thursday, August 26 on RTL, the Prime Minister, Jean Castex.
"From tomorrow evening, we can no longer carry out evacuations from Kabul airport", due to the imminent end of the withdrawal of American troops who control and secure the airport in the Afghan capital, on August 31 .
Since the fall of Kabul into the hands of the Taliban on August 15, the French operation Apagan - which takes the form of an airlift between Kabul and Paris, via the French air base 104 of Al Dhafr (Abu Dhabi) - has allowed the evacuation of around 100 French people and around 2,500 Afghans.
