Al Dhaheri said that after the lapse of 30 days, all students aged 12 years and above who received two doses of vaccine, 14 days after the second dose, will have to perform a monthly PCR test, while students from 12-18 years old will be given, A period of 30 days, starting from the first school day, in order to give the non-vaccinated an opportunity to take the vaccine, and during this period all students of this age group, both vaccinated and not vaccinated, will be required to perform a PCR test every two weeks.

He added that with regard to the age group of 4 years and less than 12 years, they must perform a laboratory test (PCR), or a monthly saliva test, whether they are vaccinated or not, and distance learning is available to them, and students from 12 years old to 18 years old. For those who are not vaccinated and those with medical exceptions approved by health authorities, they must perform PCR tests weekly, and the option of distance learning will be available to them, and for all age groups, whether they are vaccinated or not.

He added that the excluded groups of students from universities, colleges and institutes will be allowed to learn in person, with the mandatory weekly “PCR” examination, pointing out that for their safety, they should go to distance education, as it is available, indicating that in-person education for students of universities, colleges and institutes will be limited to students. Those who received two vaccine doses within 14 days of the second dose, which was determined by the health sector, with the application of the green pass protocol to enter the facility, and for unvaccinated students, distance learning will be available to them.

Al Dhaheri stressed that the students’ families will require them to download the Al-Hosn application for their children, to prove the status of vaccination and the results of the examinations, by printing the certificates and bringing them to the school, while the academic and administrative staff, and service providers, will have to obtain two doses of vaccine with the passage of 14 days from the second dose to start work in Educational facilities, with the application of the green traffic protocol to enter the facility, stressing that students in various stages require a negative PCR result, not exceeding 96 hours, when they start studying.

He pointed out that the students’ families can enter educational facilities, provided that the green traffic protocol is applied to them, and advised the families of students of determination to wait and go to distance education, until each medical case is evaluated separately with the specialist doctor, and the appropriate examinations and vaccinations are determined.

Al Dhaheri pointed out that organizing events in educational facilities will be allowed, with a commitment to applying all precautionary and preventive measures, applying the green traffic protocol to enter the event, and obligating obtaining a negative PCR test result.

He stressed that this protocol is subject to updating and change, based on the epidemiological situation in the country, and health authorities are also continuing to add new age groups, who will be required to vaccinate during the next stage, after completing the necessary appropriations, indicating that there may be some detailed procedures in the protocol. Which may differ from one emirate to another, and will be announced at the local level, in line with the conditions in educational facilities in each emirate.
