According to the Kremlin, the leaders of Russia and China emphasized the importance of establishing peace in Afghanistan as soon as possible and preventing the spread of instability to neighboring regions.
"For this, it is intended to use the potential of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as much as possible," the message says.
At the same time, it is added that on the occasion of the approaching 76th anniversary of the end of World War II, the heads of the two states noted the demand for work to preserve the truth about the events of those years and to prevent attempts to falsify history.
