Investigators had been on his trail for several days.

They arrested Chief Brigadier Ngoy Ilunga Doudou in Lubumbashi on Tuesday when he presented himself to receive his pay.

After a little resistance,

Doudou Ngoy Ilunga

finally let it go.

He was transferred to Kinshasa the same day in the evening and made available to justice.

This policeman was stationed in Kasumbalesa, on the border with Zambia, and had been on the run for 11 years.

He thus joined in prison in Kinshasa General Djadjidja, Colonel Mukalay, Major Kenga Kenga and

the police officer Mugabo

.

Member of the Simba Battalion

Doudou Ngoy Ilunga had been exfiltrated from Kinshasa in early June 2010, the day after the assassination of Floribert Chebeya and Fidèle Bazana.

He is accused of having actively participated in the killing of the two human rights activists.

The person concerned was part of the Simba battalion set up by General John Numbi the day after his appointment as head of the national police.

But he always claimed his innocence.

At the end of last year, the designated chief of the execution commando Christian Kenga Kenga was arrested in Lubumbashi.

John Numbi

, for his part, fled the country.

Declared a deserter, he is now wanted by the courts for criminal conspiracy.

The Chebeya file has been in the High Military Court for several weeks for the reopening of the trial.
