The government has begun to coordinate the appointment of Yoko Ishikura, an emeritus professor at Hitotsubashi University, for the "digital supervisor" who will be the top office worker of the Digital Agency, which will be launched next month.

Toward the establishment of the Digital Agency on the 1st of next month, the government has been considering allocating private human resources to the "digital supervisor" who is the top office worker.



Then, we started to make adjustments to appoint Yoko Ishikura, an emeritus professor at Hitotsubashi University, as the first "digital supervisor".



Regarding the "digital supervisor", the government initially planned to appoint Mr. Joi Ito, the former director of the "Media Lab" research institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States, but he was rushing to select a substitute.
