An opinion poll conducted by "Trends" for research and consultancy, for the benefit of "Emirates Today", showed that 48% of the students who participated in the survey prefer the education system in the classroom, "attendance education", compared to 21% who prefer "distance education", and 31% favored the education system in the classroom. Hybrid system (combining classroom and distance education).

The survey, the data of which was collected by Surview, showed that 45% of the students' families observed a decline in the achievement level of students due to distance education the previous year, compared to 33% who saw an improvement in the achievement level of students, and 22% believed that it did not affect the achievement level. for students.

The size of the sample surveyed at the level of the UAE was 474 individuals, and the interest of females to participate in the survey was higher by 67%, compared to 33% for males, while the participation rate of Arab nationalities was 47%, compared to 53% for foreign nationalities.

According to the survey, parents topped the majority of respondents with 82%, compared to 18% for the educators category.

The largest proportion of the sample members preferred education to students in the classrooms for the next year, as the percentage reached 49% for the kindergarten stage, 49% for the foundational stage (primary level / first cycle), 47% for the intermediate stage (cycle 2), and 51% for the stage Secondary school "the third cycle", and 48% prefer education for students in classrooms in general.

The "Trends" survey showed that 39% of the respondents evaluated the electronic platforms provided by the school for "distance education" in the previous year as excellent, 55% considered them good, and 6% considered them weak.

With regard to teachers' performance, 39% of the respondents believe that teachers' performance was excellent during "distance education" in the previous year, 54% see it as good, and 7% consider it poor.

More than half of the respondents believe that the experience of distance education in general for the previous years was good at 56%, compared to 25% who consider it excellent and 19% as weak.

The survey comes in light of a state of reluctance among a large number of students’ families to choose the most appropriate type of education for their children for the next academic year, due to the repercussions of the “Covid-19” pandemic, which imposed various educational systems since its inception, with the aim of shedding light on the trend of public opinion on this point. And help in choosing the best educational system by presenting the different opinions and trends in the most important pillars of interest to the student and his family.
