Lyon firefighters recovered a body on Monday evening from Lake Miribel-Jonage in the metropolitan area.

The victim is a young man in his twenties.

He would have drowned, reports Radio Scoop.

The emergency services were notified a little before 9 p.m. of the disappearance of the victim in the waters.

After several reconnaissance, they found the body but there was nothing more to do.

The young man could not be revived.

An investigation has been opened to try to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
