Following the air force and navy, sexual harassment cases occurred in the army as well. The perpetrator was a direct superior. However, the perpetrator was discharged only after receiving disciplinary action without criminal punishment, and it is known that the victim tried to make extreme choices several times.

Reporter Kim Tae-hoon, who specializes in defense, covered the story.

Army Sgt. A was assigned to a unit in the eastern part of Gangwon-do right after he was commissioned in April last year.

Sergeant A received an offer to 'get a date' from Sergeant B, his immediate supervisor, immediately after being assigned to him, but when he refused it, it was known that he was continuously stalked and sexually assaulted.

Sergeant A officially reported to the unit in August of last year, and Sergeant B received disciplinary dismissal a month later and was discharged without criminal punishment.

In the process, it is known that there was a second assault by other executives, such as rumors of sexual harassment or soliciting an agreement.

Sergeant A's side reported the incident again during the special report period of the Ministry of National Defense held in June after the sexual assault and death of a female air force officer.

Then, the victim's sister posted on the bulletin board of the Blue House petition on the 20th, arguing, "At that time, the response of the unit and the law office was inappropriate."

Immediately after the sexual harassment case, the perpetrator and victim were not separated, and the case that should be handled under the Military Criminal Act was classified as a general disciplinary case, and the perpetrator was discharged without criminal punishment.

He also added, “My younger brother, who was healthy, suffered frequent fainting, vomiting, and hair loss for over a year.

In response, the Army said, "Since the victim's intention to file a criminal complaint was not confirmed, the disciplinary procedure was promptly implemented at the time."
