- The distance meetings are fully possible, but when there is discussion on certain important issues, it sometimes becomes more difficult to follow the whole thing from a distance.

Then you want to meet again, at the same time as it is of course important that you take care of yourself and keep your distance and the whole thing, says Christer Segerstéen (M), chairman of the municipal board in Kinda municipality.

"The digital meetings are here to stay"

At the same time, he says that they take with them lessons from having had the meetings at a distance.

- The digital meetings have come to a halt.

There is no doubt about that and we will include, for example, white-collar workers digitally even when we meet physically, says Christer Seferstéen.

In the list below, you can read how the municipalities in Östergötland and on Gotland will solve the issue this autumn.

Valdemarsvik:

For Valdemarsvik municipality, the opportunity for distance participation will continue during the autumn.

Gotland:

Within Region Gotland, we follow the recommendations and as long as the recommendation to “work from home if possible” applies, the meetings will continue to be digital.

This applies (at present) until the end of September.

Linköping:

In the municipality of Linköping, there are digital meetings until the end of August.

A decision on how it will be from September has not yet been made.

Kinda:

In Kinda municipality, a political agreement was entered into before the summer that board and committee meetings would again be held physically after the summer.

In accordance with this agreement, the municipal board will have its next meeting on 6 September physically.

As for the committees, however, these are independent and at least one committee has chosen to hold the first meeting of the autumn digitally.

The first meeting of the City Council after the summer will take place at the end of September, and the Presidium has not yet taken a position on how this meeting will be conducted.

However, we follow the development in terms of the spread of infection and the focus on physical encounters may therefore be reconsidered if there are reasons for this.

Finspång

:

The meetings we are now preparing for, KS 25/8 and KF 15/9, will be at a distance.

Most likely, KS 22/9 will also be when we as an organization have teleworking through September.

Vadstena:

The information that has been released in Vadstena is the municipality is that the recommendations to work from home if the work so allows are extended until the end of September and therefore the political meetings will also take place at a distance during the month of September.

What applies later this autumn will be decided later based on the contagion situation in society and the authorities' recommendations.

Fate:

The municipality of Ödeshög follows the development closely, keeping infection rates at low levels, it may be relevant to start returning to physical meetings with few participants.

So far, however, all meetings are held at a distance.

Norrköping:

In Norrköping, the municipal council is at a distance from September onwards.

We will closely follow the development and FHM's recommendations.

Thereafter, new decisions are made from October onwards.

The municipal board and the municipal council digitally for the time being.
