On weekdays, the large hall in Valdemarsvik's Folkets hus functions as a school canteen.

When it has been the municipal council, the municipality's politicians have occupied the hall instead.

During the pandemic, everything has been different.

Politicians have had to connect with a computer instead of meeting physically.

Now, some restrictions and recommendations have changed at the national level.

However, it is not yet time to have regular meetings again.

- We continue to call for distance until approximately September 30, says Jenny Elander Ek (C), first vice chairman of the municipal board.

What happens after that date no one can say today. If the spread of coronavirus decreases, changes may be necessary, but if the spread increases, distance meetings may continue to be normal.
